SUE WILLIAMS

Head Trainer / Owner

I started my dog training journey as a child in the 70’s doing competition obedience at my local club, I then went on to qualify as a dog trainer at Massey in 1993 and have almost 30 years of experience as a trainer. I am proud to be a foundation member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDTNZ) and have a wealth of seminars, courses and practical experience behind me.
I especially like doing field work with my own dogs, gun dog training, tracking and nosework are my main interests, I have been involved with the Rotorua Gun Dog Club since 1996 and started taking Nosework classes for pet people in 2012. I have competed in obedience, tracking trials, nosework trials, gundog trials, breed showing, agility and fly agility and I have judged Obedience, Water Trials, Carting Trials, and Nosework, I am currently on two DogsNZ judging panels and a life member of 2 DogsNZ clubs.
My main passion is helping pet people achieve their goals of having a good relationship with their pet dogs  through positive training, and offering group pet dog classes as well as nosework and tracking classes for fun and enrichment for dogs and handlers.
Tailwaggers was started in Cambridge in 2004 by Judy Bail and myself, Judy has since retired and I have carried on the name after moving back to Rotorua last year.

KIMBERLEA LEMON

Trainer

I am an Occupational Therapist with a lifelong passion for animals. After 20 years of competing with horses in eventing and show hunter I moved to competing with dogs 10 years ago. I did agility with my first dog a Papillon called Ace. Since then I have had a number of papillons (and a chihuahua) and have found a love of helping and teaching others to have fulfilling relationships with their dogs. My current boys are two papillons Jacob 7 and Archie 2.

We currently compete in scent work under SSANZ and Dog NZ and Jacob has achieved his novice trick title through Do more with your dog.

In 2023 I completed my course to become a Do More With Your Dog assessor. I can assess tricks in person in rotorua or via video.

I enjoy working with small dogs and their owners. I am passion about the training of small dogs and what they can achieve.

Kimberlea also is the owner and operator at                                           doing custom sewing and embroidery for you and your dog.
